An exciting first

Today as we were driving down the road, we came to a stop at an intersection. Kitana looked at the sign and said, "S-T-O-P. Stop." I told her good job. Then it hit me full force what she had just done: She had just read her first word. She hasn't been three a month yet, and she's just read her first word! What a long way she has come from those days in the NICU. Kitana also had another new experience today. I converted her crib to the transition bed. She slept in it for her nap, and stayed in bed until she woke from her nap. Later in the day, she was just enjoying being able to hang out on her bed whenever she wanted.
